There are small things, trivial events that cross our path while we make our way towards an indistinct destination in life – the destination we all know of as the horizon. These situations very often have more than one, physical meaning. There are little nuances of life hidden within all of them – slight connotations that guide us on our paths.

These poems seek to capture these unnoticed details. Very personal in nature, they express the various, often contradictory, moods of somebody craving to find a balance. Read them as chronicles of the past and tributes to the present.

I did the last six years of my schooling at the Doon School, Dehradun (which is also my hometown – I love it and yet have to know a lot more about it) and am following it up with Economics at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. School was an opportunity for tremendous exploration – ranging from that of scenic Himalayan beauty to that of the human mind (especially my own). The journey continues through college.

I belong to the creed of people who are never sure of their romances or realities because there are just too many of them. I try and stay away from ideals and idealism, though they always form the baseline, and enjoy the aberrations in life (at least in retrospect). I value the importance of diversity and the need for inclusiveness. My faith lies in one God who is in each one of us but exists for all.

I like to read and travel (though I haven’t done a lot of either) and enjoy movies (anything but horror) and music (soft/sentimental Hindi/English). Friendship for me is not just good pastime. I enjoy introspecting, especially on long walks, and I have my mood swings – they always give me a chance to do so. And though I do not mind change, I enjoy being what I am.

The whole collection reveals an excellent combination of deep observation , poetic imagination and good writing skills, which express the true love & feelings of the writer for every big & small creation of God , maybe its beauty of nature like moon, stars, clouds, trees, river or the most ordinary thing like a silver glass & plastic bags or even a small incidence which has inspired him to write these poems.

He has not only peeped inside the life & souls of petty unnoticed existents around us like insects , butterfly, leaves of a tree , or a drop of water , but has also drawn our attention and reminded us that God has given us n-number of things which have contribution in our daily lives , yet are ignored & taken for granted.

Each poem contains some food of thought & hidden meaning in it.

Last but not the least, the words and language used , shows his excellent command on Hindi (ie. our most ignored National Language) , which is worth a praise. This is beyond the expectation from an eighteen year old guy.

The poet deserves a great Appreciation for his thoughtfulness , hard work and this Brilliant EFFORT.
