Colourful Spots of Life

"Colourful Spots of Life is a collection of all poems that I have written over the past five years, i.e. from grade eight onwards. It represents every emotion that compelled me enough to write about it.
I have arranged the poems in this collection in a particular order. For example, I have arranged all the poems that talk about friendship together. This has been done to make reading these poems more convenient for the reader, and also to put together different aspects of the same emotion.
Poetry, for me, is an outlet of my emotions. Thus, every poem I write is my analysis of my condition at a point of time in my life, and in this way, I make a record of the strongest feelings that I’ve had in my life. I am sure that many people, especially those of my age, would have had the same experiences and the same feeling, but probably they did not try to express those in the form of poetry.
Compiling this anthology has been a pleasure for me, since I was able to read over some of my oldest poems and rediscover the joys and the sorrows of my life and look back at them. Presenting this book to the readers is my attempt to let others have a window into an average teenager’s life."
